Sustainable Travel with Let's Go Experience

Welcome to the Sustainability section!

We are passionate about exploring the rich and diverse ecosystem of South America’s Southern Cone.

We are deeply committed to sustainability at every step of the way.

The Importance of Sustainability in Travel

Climate change is a natural process that has been happening on our planet for a long time.

However our actions have accelerated it, presenting both challenges and opportunities.

We focus on sustainability to meet this challenge and innovate the way we travel and experience our world.

What is the "Water Footprint"?

The water footprint measures how much freshwater is used to produce the things we use.

This includes water used for drinking, washing, and producing food or other products, as well as water polluted during these processes.

By understanding our water footprint, we can see the importance of protecting and conserving our water resources.

What is the "Carbon Footprint"?

The carbon footprint refers to the amount of greenhouse gasses we produce. It measures the emissions from everyday activities such as driving, cooking, or watching TV.

The  “greenhouse effect” is a natural process that warms the Earth and is essential for life.

However, human activities have intensified it, contributing to climate change and leading to phenomena such as:

  •  The melting of the poles,
  •  Ocean acidification and
  • The expansion of desert areas.

Linking the Water and Carbon Footprints

These two footprints are closely linked. Excess carbon in the atmosphere makes our planet warmer and disrupts water availability in various regions, affecting  ecosystems and our daily lives.

By planting forests, we enhance the land’s ability to store carbon and retain water, reducing the risk of desertification and supporting healthier ecosystems.

How Does This Impact Our Travels?

Our travels have a significant impact on our  Water and Carbon Footprints.

Every decision we make, – from the transport we use to the number of nights we stay, and the activities we engage in – affects the amount of water used and carbon generated.

What Can We Do to Reduce Our Water & Carbon Footprints?

  • Avoid plastic: Use reusable containers and less wasteful  products.
  • Eat local and seasonal food.
  • Choose sustainable accommodation
  • Offset your footprint: Support programmes that reduce carbon emissions.
  • Take short showers: Save water and the energy.
  • Turn off lights and unplug  appliances when not in use.
  • Choose sustainable transport: Take the train, bike, walk, use public transport, or carpool.
  • Use solar energy: Use solar-powered travel accessories.
  •

By changing our consumption habits, choosing more sustainable transportation options and advocating for responsible business practices, we can make a difference.

Reduce Our Environmental Footprint when Traveling

Connect with Nature

We’re committed to:

  • Supporting local communities and preserving the natural beauty of our ecosystem for future generations.
  • Minimizing our environmental impact by keeping our vehicles in optimal condition and recycling inorganic waste.
  • Composting organic waste whenever possible.
  • Using reforestation to retain rainwater, reduce soil erosion and lower our carbon footprint.

Supporting Local Communities

We’re proud to work hand in hand with local communities to:

  • Promote the economic and social development of the region.
  • Pay our suppliers and employees promptly, and in cash, contributing to their economic growth.

Authentic Experiences

We value and respect the rich cultural heritage and traditions of the places we visit:

  • We provide authentic experiences that enrich travelers and local communities.
